Crosswinds
is one of the best courses around Savannah. Membership is not expensive and it is open to the public.
Southbridge
is another good course. Southbridge is also a golf community with plenty of nice homes and townhomes with many many amenities.
The Landings
is a gated golf community with private courses. One of the most beautiful areas in Savannah, it is a golfer's paradise.
"Eighteen holes of match or medal play will teach you more about your foe than will 18 years of dealing with him across a desk." ~Grantland Rice

is a golf community with reasonably priced homes. Henderson is open to the public. It is a good course with some demanding holes.
"Golf is so popular simply because it is the best game in the world at which to be bad." ~A.A. Milne
Savannah Golf Course
opened in 1794. It is a private course close to the downtown historic district.
Wilmington Island
is a public course. One of the most beautiful courses in Savannah, it is the only course where the foursome I played with in a tournament actually won! So, naturally, I like this one.
"Golf is a lot of walking, broken up by disappointment and bad arithmetic." ~Author Unknown
Savannah Quarters Country Club
is a relatively new course designed by Greg Norman. It is private, a golf community with upscale homes.
Bacon Park
is a no-frills public course at a good price.
"It's easy to see golf not as a game at all but as some whey-faced, nineteenth-century Presbyterian minister's fever dream of exorcism achieved through ritual and self-mortification." ~Bruce McCall
Old Carolina Golf Club
is a beautiful course in Bluffton, SC about 25 minutes from Savannah. I have played in a United Way charity tournament at this course and thoroughly enjoyed it.

"Any game where a man 60 can beat a man 30 ain't no game. ~Burt Shotten"
Sea Pines
is one of the best, most beautiful courses in the area. If you are a serious golfer, I am sure you've heard of this one.
