Home Inspections

Home inspections are critical in the buying process. It is also important to make sure the home inspector is certified and is working for you. For a few hundred dollars you can hire someone to inspect the exterior, plumbing, electrical, appliances, etc, and it may save you thousands. One mistake some buyers make is to get a close friend who knows a little about construction to look at the house -- this may be okay, but in many cases the person isn't trained to do a complete inspection and things get missed, costing the buyer later. Ceritifed inspectors are kept up to date with what to look for, such as stucco issues, defective plumbing material, radon and mold. A home is a huge investment -- protect it. Even if nothing is found, it is worth a few hundred dollars for peace of mind.
