Home Buyers in the Information Age

The challenge for home buyers in the Information Age is to make information work for them, not overwhelm or mislead them. Making sure the information gathered is placed in context, that it is current and particular, that it is truly informative not just a collection of factoids, and that it is, most of all, not misleading -- these are what buyer must consider when gathering information for a move.

Knowing averaged out statistics for a large area doesn't give you the whole picture of small sections of that area, nor doesn't reveal anything about current plans for future change.

Unless you have specialized knowledge of an area, it is difficult to get information to work for you as it should. Part of the value I provide in these new information-rich times is to help evaluate information, place it into context and make it work for the buyer. I have spent many hours in the past few years analyzing information and putting disparate pieces together to try to make some meaningful whole from all the avenues of information opening up to us all.

Sifting through this information requires a knowledge of the local market, and how the local market can be and is affected by the national economic activity. Buying a home is one of the largest investments most of us will ever make, so it pays to make wise decisions based on good, reliable, analyzed information. You can be manipulated by information or helped by it.

I will gladly do an initial consultation with any serious buyer to go over the information they have already collected to help make sense of it, and to make it work to the buyer's benefit. I will help you find the missing pieces of information that may save you lots of time and money, and certainly a lot of hassle.
