Savannah Ga Port -- Double Digit Growth!
It was reported today in the Savannah Morning News that the Savannah port deepwater container facility will experience 25.5% growth for the first three quarters of 2007. To put this into perspective, other ports report from 8.8% to minus 9.8%. The US average is 4.8%. The paper points out that this is especially incredible due to the fact that the Savannah port is the nation's fourth largest -- it would be less incredible if our port was smaller with all that room for advancement -- but being large already and experiencing 25.5% growth is outstanding.
The port is a great boon for the state, and it's becoming very instrumental in placing Savannah in a postion of top importance, industry-wise, and a player in the global economy.
Good Job!
