Starland Art District in Savannah Ga - An Artsy Scene

This is an area in Savannah properly named theThomas Square Streetcar District, however, many people now refer to it as the Starland Art District. This is an area  the art-minded should watch -- it's gradually evolving into a distinctive "art" neighborhood with a mixture of Victorian, eclectic and art-deco buildings which will probably be home to art galleries, art and design studios, quirky shops, coffee shops, perhaps a trendy bar or two.

For anyone wanting to get in before prices explode, you can still find homes in the area that are reasonable compared to homes closer to downtown Savannah. Starland is a five minute drive to downtown Savannah, so its location is still great if you want to be close to all the action.

Many are buying an older home that needs cosmetic work and the face of the whole area is changing one house, one building at a time. It'll be interesting.
