Savannah Ga housing market picking up
I like it when people post about positive signs in the market, so I thought I'd give my impression of the Savannah, Ga market. There are still a lot of homes on the market but they are beginning to sell. From all indications, the market is improving and it's my prediction that the turnnaround here will start in the summer and continue steadily through next year. 2010 might be a great year for the housing market -- by "great", I don't mean runaway prices, but a good healthy market where homeowners feel secure in their investments and buyers feel secure buying a home.
I DON'T want to see fast rising prices and I have a feeling the turn around will be slow and gradual -- the way it should be. Markets do better when they are steady and gradual rather than over-heated and rising fast. Our local economy seems situated for steady growth and this is what's called for. We want to manage growth smartly not have it overwhelm and run over us.
The growth in Savannah, so far, has not destroyed its character and I'd like to see that continue. If anyone wants an in-depth analysis of the Savannah, Ga real estate market, email me at Mike@MikeFarmerRealty.com and I will get the statistics directly from our MLS regarding your area of concern.
